In classes on developmental biology, comparative anatomy, and bioinformatics, Maglia uses her research as a teaching tool to benefit her students. “In each of these different courses,” she explains, “we actually use some of the three-dimensional reconstructions.” Calling it a “seamless integration," she likes to involve students in all aspects of her research program.
