A Three-Dimensional Amphibian

Maglia and her fellow Missouri University of Science and Technology collaborator, Jennifer Leopold, created a computer program and web library that allow researchers to study three-dimensional reconstructions of anatomy as if they were actual biological objects. “We wanted to apply it to this problem,” she explains, “and make the technology available to other people to use.” What she finds most surprising about the project is how receptive people are to a new process of studying amphibians.
