Manipulating Mutant Plants

Zolman explains her research on the hormone auxin, which affects root development in plants. Her research centers on the weed Arabidopsis thaliana. Her lab compares the conversion in wild-type plants to that of mutant plants, in order to determine which manipulated factors affect root growth, length, and secondary root development.
