Research Applicability

Bartholow explains that his research extends beyond an exploration of alcohol and its effects on social behaviors. “If we can give someone a manipulation like alcohol that affects some brain process we can measure," he explains, "then that tells us more than just something about alcohol. It tells us about how the brain works, and how certain manipulations or certain conditions can change how the brain works, and what are the implications for behavior.”
