Alcohol’s Effects on Race Bias

Bartholow describes his recent research project, funded by the UMRB, which measures the effects of alcohol consumption on the expression of racial bias in laboratory tasks. He found that the alcohol group showed smaller brain responses to errors, but that they were just as aware of when they made classification errors as were the subjects in the non-alcohol groups.
