A mysterious illness has spread throughout amphibian species, and Anne Maglia is determined to find the environmental cause. “We know that about 30 percent of the amphibian species in the world are declining, and we think that a lot has to do with some environmental components,” says Maglia.
The UMRB grant allowed us to develop software, make these 3D reconstructions, and use them to answer interesting questions—which then allowed us to get an NSF grant.
